Drawing a dream with AI
When, and only when, you press Generate with AI on one of your own dreams, the text of that dream and anything you type into the dialogue leave this platform and go to one processor, Google, which does both halves of the work:
- It reads the dream and writes a short description of the picture to draw.
- It draws that description and returns the image.
It does not receive your name, your email address or anything that identifies you: it receives the text of the dream and nothing else. We use the paid tiers of both models, on which your content is not used to train or improve them. Every picture produced this way carries a SynthID watermark, which is an invisible mark that identifies the image as AI-generated, and we record on the picture itself that a model drew it, which model, and what it was asked to draw. Your dream's image list marks each such picture with an AI badge.
Nothing is sent when you write, edit or read a dream, and nothing is sent for a dream you have not asked to have drawn. We keep the description that was used to draw each picture, so that we can answer questions about it; we do not keep a copy of your dream at the processor and we do not write the description into our logs.

Depending on your location you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access – request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Rectification – ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Erasure – request deletion of your personal data
- Portability – receive your data in a machine-readable format

- Opt-out of sale – California residents may opt out of the sale of personal information
